摘要： A method of producing a roll of an optical film laminate strip includes the steps of: forming an optical film laminate which includes an optical film having a continuous web of polarizing film, and a resin film bonded to the optical film; creating a reference mark to extend across the optical film laminate in a width direction thereof; performing a defect inspection for detecting a defect existing in the optical film, and, when a defect is detected, recording a position of the defect in the form of a laminate widthwise position and a laminate lengthwise position as measured from the reference mark; cutting the optical film laminate along a direction parallel to the length direction to form a plurality of continuous webs of laminate strips; based on the widthwise position of the defect detected by the defect inspection, determining which of the cut laminate strips has the defect, and, with respect to a specific laminate strip which is determined to have the defect, storing information about the defect together with identification information for identifying the specific laminate strip; and winding each of the laminate strips into a roll.

摘要： A slicing machine for cutting slices from lengths of food is provided. The slicing machine includes a machine housing, which retains a drive motor and a rotating blade driven by the drive motor. The machine housing includes a deposition region which is arranged in the region of the blade and has a deposition plate for holding slices that have been cut off. The deposition plate has a rotary shaft and can be rotated from a horizontal position into a vertical position. The deposition plate is rigidly connected to the machine housing or to an attachment part of the machine housing when in the horizontal position, and the deposition plate is removable from the machine housing or from the attachment part of the machine housing when in the vertical position.

More specifically, the present invention, in its various embodiments, provides a process for manufacturing pet jerky treats comprising: grinding proteinaceous material, mixing said proteinaceous material with preservatives and flavor enhancers to form a blend of foodstuff, extruding said foodstuff through at least one die opening that is at least partially irregular to form at least one strip of extrudate that is at least partly irregular in shape, transporting said strip in a first longitudinal direction to a first cutting operation, cutting said strip at a first cutting angle to form a first set of pieces, transporting said first set of pieces in a second longitudinal direction to a second cutting operation, cutting said first set of pieces in said second cutting operation at a second angle to form a second set of pieces, such that the said second set of pieces cumulatively produced during a process run generally appear to be of random sizes and shapes.
