摘要： A substrate is robotically picked up at a station and transported to a measuring station to measure the distance to a reference. The substrate is aligned to a robot before measurement. The measured substrate is then transported to a pharmaceutical or diagnostic powder/grain deposition station where the powder/grains are controllably deposited on the substrate to predetermined thicknesses over a plurality of powder/grain collection zones. The deposited powder/grains are then measured to determine the thickness and area covered by the deposited powder/grains at each collection zone. The substrate is then transported to a lamination station and each collection zone of powder/grains is welded to a cover substrate. The system remembers which collection zones are out of specification so that they can be later selectively discarded.

In a central manufacturing plant, critical steps are performed such as dispensing predetermined amounts of the active ingredient into holders. The products of the central manufacturing plant are packed into shipping containers which are distributed to respective decentralized manufacturing plants where the contents are unpacked, manufacture of containers is completed, solvent is obtained, intravenous solution is mixed, and the containers are filled, hermetically sealed and sterilized in an autoclave.

摘要： A process is provided for the production of a flat administration form with a dosable portion of drugs or of a flat-shaped device for the dosable release of volatile substances, such as aromatic substances, to the ambient air by using high-volatile or thermolabile dosing media in liquid or semisolid state as the ingredients of the administration form or of the device by means of printing processes. A free-flowing preparation of the ingredients is knife-coated in a measured amount into at least one volumetrically defined cavity of a flat printing block. A substrate to be charged with the ingredients or dosing media, respectively, is gradually led as web-shaped material under web tension over the cavity of the printing block and pressed into the filled cavity by means of a mechanical pressure device whereby the substrate takes up the ingredient from the printing block in a dosed amount.

摘要： Compositions and methods of manufacture for producing a medicament composition capable of absorption through the mucosal tissues of the mouth, pharynx, and esophagus. The present invention relates to such compositions and methods which are useful in administering lipophilic and nonlipophilic drugs in a dose-to-effect manner such that sufficient drug is administered to produce precisely a desired effect. The invention also relates to manufacturing techniques that enable therapeutic agents to be incorporated into nondissolvable drug containment matrixes which are capable of releasing the drug within a patient's mouth. An appliance or holder is preferably attached to the drug containment matrix. Employing the present invention the drug may be introduced into the patient's bloodstream almost as fast as through injection, and much faster than using the oral administration route, while avoiding the negative aspects of both of these methods. The nondissolvable drug containment matrix may include permeation enhancers to increase the drug absorption by the mucosal tissues of the mouth. The matrix composition may also include pH buffering agents to modify the saliva pH thereby increasing the absorption of the drug through the mucosal tissues.
