    Abstract: Embodiments herein include a method in a user equipment (UE) for transmitting uplink control information in time slots of a subframe over a radio channel to a radio base station. The uplink control information is comprised in a block of bits. The UE maps the block of bits to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE block spreads the sequence across Discrete Fourier Transform Spread—Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is performed by applying a spreading sequence to the sequence of complex valued modulation symbols, to achieve a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE further transforms the block-spread sequence, per DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is performed by applying a matrix that depends on a DFTS-OFDM symbol index and/or slot index to the block-spread sequence. The UE also transmits the block spread sequence, as transformed, over the radio channel to the radio base station.

    Abstract: Limited uplink bandwidth radio network devices (30) are supported on wide bandwidth uplink carriers by configuring and controlling the use of multiple control regions within the uplink carrier bandwidth. In some embodiments, the total bandwidth of the uplink carrier is divided into a plurality of sub-band portions, wherein at least one sub-band portion includes at least one control region nominally dedicated to the transmission of uplink control signaling. The control regions may be configured at one or both edges of sub-band portions, or elsewhere within a sub-band portions. Sub-band portions may share a control region. Radio network devices (30) are configured with a specified portion of the uplink carrier bandwidth for use for uplink transmission, which includes at least one control region. The specified portion may comprise an integer number of sub-band portions, or may span only part of one or more sub-band portions. Radio network devices (30) may be dynamically configured to allow or suppress data signaling in control regions.

    Abstract: A method of operating a user equipment comprises addressing multi-subcarrier system resources using multiple different numerologies available within a single carrier, the multiple different numerologies comprising a first numerology having resource blocks (RBs) with a first bandwidth and a first subcarrier spacing, Δf1, and a second numerology having RBs with a second bandwidth and a second subcarrier spacing, Δf2, which is different from Δf1, wherein the first numerology is aligned in the frequency domain relative to a frequency reference, Fref, according to m*Δf1+Fref and the second numerology is aligned in the frequency domain relative to the frequency reference, Fref, according to n*Δf2+Fref, where m and n are integers. The method further comprises transmitting and/or receiving information within the single carrier according to the at least one of the multiple different numerologies.
