    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for wireless communications in narrowband frequency bands using frequency hopping. In some implementations, a base station (BS) groups a plurality of hopping channels of a frequency hopping pattern into a number of groups based on a bandwidth part (BWP) hopping frequency of each hopping channel of the frequency hopping pattern. The BS transmits indications of the frequency hopping pattern and the grouping of hopping channels to user equipments (UEs). The BS transmits a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) on a first hopping channel, and receives channel state information (CSI) of the first hopping channel from one or more of the UEs. In some other implementations, a UE receives indications of the frequency hopping pattern and hopping channel groups, and determines CSI of the first hopping channel based on the received CSI-RS. The UE may transmit the CSI to the BS.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for forward/retransmitting a data transmission to a target UE through a helper UE. A helper UE may receive a data transmission from a network node, determining whether the received data transmission is intended for a target UE or for the helper UE itself, based on a control message, and retransmitting the data transmission to the target UE upon determining that the data transmission is intended for the target UE. A network node such as a base station may transmit a control message to at least a help UE, the control message comprising an indicator of whether a data transmission is intended for the helper UE or a target UE and transmit the data transmission to at least the helper UE and the target UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for power control indication for multiple services. A base station may transmit scheduling information to a UE indicating first, second, and third open-loop power levels associated with uplink transmissions on a first wireless channel. The base station may select one of the first, second, or third open-loop power levels to be used for a first uplink transmission based on a type of service associated with the first uplink transmission. For example, the first open-loop power level may be associated with enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) services, the second open-loop power level may be a base open-loop power level associated with ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) services, and the third open-loop power level may be a boosted open-loop power level associated with URLLC services. The base station may further transmit open loop power control information to the UE indicating the selected open-loop power level.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for narrowband communications using frequency hopping in an unlicensed frequency band. In some aspects, a base station (BS) and a user equipment (UE) may communicate with one another over a sequence of unique frequency sub-bands of a frequency hopping pattern. In some instances, the BS and the UE may switch from a current frequency sub-band to another frequency sub-band based on a number of unsuccessful attempts to gain access to the current frequency sub-band. In some other instances, the BS and the UE may communicate data using configured grant (CG) resources based on a number of unsuccessful attempts to gain access to the current frequency sub-band.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for jointly activating or releasing a plurality of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations using a single downlink control information (DCI) message. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) receiving the DCI message can determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the received DCI message and a beginning of one or more downlink (DL) data frames based on a first value contained in the DCI message. The UE can also determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the DL data frames and an instance in time at which the UE is to transmit a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) based on a second value contained in the DCI message. In some instances, the single DCI message can also jointly activate or release a plurality of configured grant (CG) configurations.
