Abstract:
A system, method, and apparatus for processing gaming voucher images are described herein. In one embodiment, the method includes recording voucher information on a gaming voucher, creating an image of the gaming voucher, causing the image to be stored, and dispensing the gaming voucher.
Abstract:
A torso harness reduces injury from a fall from a utility pole. The torso harness has a safety belt for wrapping around the waist of a person. A single strap forms a left and a right leg loop. The single strap has a first end secured to the safety belt and a second end secured to the safety belt. The single strap also has a clasp sliding along the single strap. The single strap pulls between the legs of the person and up through the groin area. When the clasp is secured to the safety belt, the single strap thus forms the left and the right leg loop.
Abstract:
A delivery system comprising an active agent encapsulated by a polymeric film comprising a polymeric backbone derived from a polymer which is water soluble, and one or more derivatising groups attached to the backbone, the derivatising group(s) being derived from a parent material having a ClogP of from 0.5 to 6, the delivery system also comprising a surfactant on the outside of the polymeric film.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for sending data. One exemplary embodiment may be a method comprising sending a data rate synchronization pulse from drive controller in a computer system to a storage device controller, calculating a bit transfer period by the storage device controller based on the time duration of the data rate synchronization pulse, serially driving a plurality of bits from the drive controller at a rate based on the bit transfer period, and sampling at the rate based on the bit transfer period to receive the plurality of bits by the storage device controller.
Abstract:
Human antibodies, preferably recombinant human antibodies, that specifically bind to human tumor necrosis factor &agr;(hTNF&agr;) are disclosed. These antibodies have high affinity for hTNF&agr; (e.g., Kd=10−8 M or less), a slow off rate for hTNF&agr; dissociation (e.g., Koff=10−3sec−1 or less) and neutralize hTNF&agr; activity in vitro and in vivo. An antibody of the invention can be a full-length antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof. The antibodies, or antibody portions, of the invention are useful for detecting hTNF&agr; and for inhibiting hTNF&agr; activity, e.g., in a human subject suffering from a disorder in which hTNF&agr; activity is detrimental. Nucleic acids, vectors and host cells for expressing the recombinant human antibodies of the invention, and methods of synthesizing the recombinant human antibodies, are also encompassed by the invention.
Abstract:
Presently provided are a rotatable disc and a shoe sole. The rotatable disc is configured to be attached to the shoe sole. The shoe sole has at least two of rotatable discs in the shoe sole, wherein each of the rotatable discs are configured and disposed to independently rotate 360° about the shoe sole.
Abstract:
A method for improving wear control in an engine or other mechanical component lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil has a composition including a lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and encapsulated boron-containing microscale particles, as a minor component. The minor component preferably contains no metal or sulfur, and preferably no phosphorus. The encapsulated boron-containing microscale particles include an encapsulating material and a boron-containing compound encapsulated by the encapsulating material. The boron-containing compound is a boron oxide, a boric acid, or mixtures thereof. The encapsulating material is a carboxylic acid selected from an aliphatic carboxylic acid, a cycloaliphatic carboxylic acid, an aromatic carboxylic acid, and mixtures thereof. The lubricating oils are useful in internal combustion engines.
