Abstract:
ePDCCH may be provided. For example, a WTRU may receive a configuration for monitoring an ePDCCH resource. Based on the configuration, the WTRU may be configured to monitor and may monitor the ePDCCH resource on a particular subframe. Additionally, a WTRU may derive an aggregation level for a subframe associated with an aggregation level number NAL. The WTRU may transmit or monitor an ePDCCH using the aggregation level associated with the NAL for the subframe. A WTRU may also receive a reference signal. The WTRU may then determine the type of reference signal received. The WTRU may perform a demodulation of the PDSCH or ePDCCH using a demodulation timing based on the determined type. The ePDCCH or PDSCH may also be monitored or received by identifying a demodulation reference timing implicitly based on a location of one or more ePDCCH resources where the WTRU may receive DCI.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) to use a contention-based uplink communications channel, applies a rule-based restriction of access to the contention-based uplink channel that attempts to use at least one contention-free uplink channel allocation for uplink transmissions on a condition that at least one contention-free uplink channel allocation has been granted.
Abstract:
Channel state information is reported in periodic and aperiodic reports for multiple component carriers or serving cells. Channel state information may be reported for a subset of aggregated downlink carriers or serving cells. For an aperiodic report, the carrier(s)/serving cell(s) for which channel state information is reported may be determined based on the request for the aperiodic report. A report collision may occur in a subframe between a periodic CSI report for a first serving cell and a report for a second serving cell. A priority rule may be used to resolve the report collision.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed to desynchronize transmissions in group-based operations. A group user equipment (UE), e.g., a UE that is a member of a group of UEs, may be in an inactive mode. The group UE may receive a multicast message indicating that the group UE may enter an active mode. For example, the group UE may use the active mode for periodic reporting of its monitoring activity to the network. The multicast message may indicate a mechanism for the group UE to use to send an uplink transmission to the network. The group UE may send the uplink transmission to the network at a transmission time indicated by the mechanism. The transmission time may be desynchronized from other UEs in the group.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining uplink power in a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU). The WTRU operates in a carrier aggregated system. The WTRU is configured to receive a plurality of uplink power parameters indexed to one of a plurality of uplink carriers and receive a transmit power control command indexed to the one of the plurality of uplink carriers. The WTRU is configured to determine a pathloss of the one of the plurality of uplink carriers and determine a transmit power for the one of the plurality of uplink carriers based on the plurality of power parameters, the transmit power control command, and the pathloss.
Abstract:
Embodiments contemplate methods and systems for determining and communicating channel state information (CSI) for one or more transmission points (or CSI reference signal resources). Embodiments further contemplate determining transmission states may include applying at least one CSI process for channel state information (CSI) reporting. Embodiments also contemplate aperiodic and/or periodic reporting of one or more report types (e.g., rank indicator (RI)) of CSI, perhaps based on one or more reporting modes that may be configured for each of the one or more CSI process.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for addressing wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) behavior in response to configuration, configuration parameters and access issues related to the activation/deactivation process when the WTRU may be configured with multiple serving cells or carrier aggregation.

Abstract:
Systems, methods, and/or techniques for improving downlink spectrum efficiency may be disclosed. For example, a higher order modulation (HOM) transmission may be provided to a device. The higher order modulation transmission may be configured to be indicated by the network or a device. Additionally, multiple modulation and coding scheme (MCS) tables, transport block size (TBS) tables, and/or channel quality index (CQI) tables may be provided to support the higher order modulation transmission.
