Abstract: A first network device includes a processor configured to analyze a data stream entering a network on which the first network device is located to obtain a traffic characteristic of a target data stream, and advertise a Flow Specification (FlowSpec) route, where the FlowSpec route carries redirect indication information, the redirect indication information includes identification information, the identification information is used to uniquely identify a first virtual private network (VPN) instance in a second network device, the redirect indication information instructing to redirect the data stream including the traffic characteristic of the target data stream to the first VPN instance, the second network device is an edge device of a service provider network accessed by the network, and the first VPN instance is a target VPN instance to which the target data stream is redirected in the second network device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a Flow Specification-based communications method, device, and system. The method includes: obtaining, by a controller, a requirement indicating that a first resource on a forwarding device needs to be associated with a second resource on the forwarding device; and sending, by the controller, a Border Gateway Protocol Flow Specification BGP Flow Spec protocol packet according to the requirement, where the BGP Flow Spec protocol packet includes a network layer reachability information field and an extended community attribute field, the network layer reachability information field carries characteristic information of the first resource, the extended community attribute field carries a global identifier GID used to indicate the second resource, and the BGP Flow Spec protocol packet is used to instruct to associate the first resource with the second resource.

Abstract: A data flow redirection method to overcome a disadvantage that a quantity of adjustable data flows is relatively small due to limited space of a flow specification forwarding table. The method includes receiving, by a network device, a control message sent by a control device, where the control message carries redirection routing information of a data flow and a redirection routing indication, the redirection routing indication instructing to convert the redirection routing information of the data flow into a forwarding entry in a target forwarding table, and tablespace of the target forwarding table is greater than tablespace of a flow specification forwarding table of the network device, and converting, by the network device, the redirection routing information of the data flow into the forwarding entry in the target forwarding table according to the redirection routing indication.

Abstract: A route processing method, a device, and a system, where the method includes: a network virtualization edge (NVE) device set including at least two NVE devices includes a common Virtual Etensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) Tunnel Endpoint (VTEP) address. The common VTEP address is used to identify a common VTEP, and the common VTEP is deployed on each NVE device in the NVE device set. In addition, each NVE device in the NVE device set includes a VTEP address, and the VTEP address is used to identify a VTEP included in a corresponding NVE device. An NVE device in the NVE device set establishes a VXLAN tunnel between the NVE devices in the NVE device set based on a VTEP address and the common VTEP address using an IMET route.

Abstract: An information synchronization method includes sending, by a controller, a first message to a network device, where the first message carries control routing protocol (CRP) routing entry information, and is used to advertise a CRP route, and the first message includes first identification information, and after receiving the first message, storing, by a forwarding device, the CRP routing entry information into a CRP routing table of the network device as indicated by the first identification information. Hence, because a route advertised by the controller and a route advertised using a routing protocol between forwarding devices are stored in different routing tables, a related application of the route advertised using the routing protocol between the forwarding devices is not affected.

Abstract: An information management method includes that a controller generates a first message carrying an address of a first next hop of a network device. The first message includes first identification information. The first identification information instructs the network device to delete, from a next hop table stored in the network device, an entry of the first next hop corresponding to the address of the first next hop. The network device receives the first message, and deletes the entry of the first next hop as indicated by the first identification information. The controller withdraw an unavailable next hop by separately sending information about the next hop to the network device without route prefix information, effectively saving a system resource occupied for route withdrawal message exchanging between the controller and the network device, and improving service processing efficiency.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a method and an apparatus for determining a next hop and advertising routing information, which relate to the field of communications and are used for reducing operation complexity of a forwarding device and reducing network maintenance workload. The method for determining the next hop provided by the embodiments of the present application includes: receiving, by a control device, first routing information sent by a first forwarding device, where the first routing information includes an identifier of the first forwarding device; determining a first routing path according to the identifier of the first forwarding device, an identifier of a second forwarding device and a routing path group; and determining a next hop in second routing information for the second forwarding device according to the first routing path, where the second forwarding device is a receiver of the second routing information advertised by the control device.

Abstract: A VPN implementation method and a PE device are provided. The method includes: sending VPN topology information of a local end to a PE device at a peer end, and receiving VPN topology information of the peer end sent by the PE device at the peer end; enabling, according to the VPN topology information of the local end and the VPN topology information of the peer end, the local end and the peer end to select a jointly supported topology; and connecting VPN members by using the jointly supported topology, so as to implement the VPN. A VPN in a multi-topology environment may be implemented, and service quality of a multi-topology VPN may be improved.
