Abstract:
A shelf-stable, filled, baked crispy snack which possesses a crispy textured casing and a moist, soft textured filling over a prolonged period of time is obtained by formulating a casing which when baked has a high glass temperature (Tg) at a high moisture content. Increasing the degree of starch gelatinization to increase the Tg may be achieved during baking and by the addition of a pregelatinized starch. The high Tg baked casing permits the use of a high moisture content filler in high amounts to provide a shelf-stable substantial textural dichotomy in the filled, baked, crispy snack. The filled, baked snack exhibits an unexpectedly high resistance to deformation or peak force at high baked casing moisture contents. The baked snack is ready-to-eat out of the packaging and does not have to be toasted, microwaved or further baked, cooked, or heated for consumption, or to achieve a crisp textured casing.

Embodiments of authenticating linked accounts are presented herein. In an implementation, an authentication service provides functionality to form links between a plurality of user accounts. A client may then authenticate by providing credentials for one account in a group of linked accounts, and is permitted access to each account in the group of linked accounts based upon the linking. Thus, a single sign-in of a client to one account may permit the client to obtain services for service providers corresponding to multiple linked accounts, without an individual sign-in to each account.
Abstract:
A collapsible table selectively positionable between an upright position above a surface and a collapsible position for storage. The table includes a table top having an envelope defining an interior cavity that is configured with an internal periphery sufficient for receiving one or more seating members therein when the table is positioned in the collapsed position. In operation, pedestals of the table may be pivoted between an extended position such that the pedestals support the table above a surface and a retracted position such that the pedestals are introduced within the interior cavity of the table and thereby substantially rest against the underside of the table top. The disposition of the seating members within the cavity of the table, and in relation to each other, further facilitates a means for securing the pedestals of the table in a collapsed position within the interior cavity of the table during storage. When the seating members are disposed within the interior cavity of the table, one or more retaining members may be used to selectively secure the seating members within the cavity of the table, thereby retaining the pedestals also within the cavity of the table when the table is positioned in the collapsed position for storage. Moreover, the seating members and table may be deployed independently from each other for use as an assembly or independently.
Abstract:
A stabilized bran component and a stabilized whole grain wheat flour containing the component are produced by subjecting a bran-enriched coarse fraction which contains bran, germ and starch to grinding or milling to reduce grittiness of the coarse fraction without substantially damaging the starch due to abrasion. The coarse fraction may be stabilized by heating to substantially reduce the lipase and lipoxygenase activity of the coarse fraction without substantial gelatinization of the starch. High levels of natural antioxidants and vitamins are retained while avoiding substantial acrylamide formation during the stabilization. The stabilized coarse fraction or stabilized bran component may be combined with a fine fraction which contains predominantly endosperm to obtain a stabilized whole grain wheat flour. The stabilized whole grain wheat flours and the stabilized bran component exhibit extended shelf life and may be used for making baked goods, such as cookies, with desirable oven spread, and a non-gritty mouthfeel.

Abstract:
An ISP 10 provides enhanced features compatible with non-AIN switches to allow service providers to provide customers with features such as voice prompting, DTMF number collection, fax on demand and similar features. In one embodiment, the ISP can also be configured as an IP. Enhanced features can be accomplished using the ISP, such as advanced routing of long distance calls based on ANI, authorization codes, type of call, time of day, origination of call and destination of call.
Abstract:
A dispensing device having a container body defining a solution retaining chamber therein, the container having an outlet for dispensing the solution from the chamber and means for removing a component from the solution as the solution is dispensed from the chamber through the container outlet. A method is provided for administering to a patient a pharmacologically active substance which substance is stable only at a pH value which is extreme in the acidic or alkaline region and at which pH value the substance cannot be administered without causing discomfort and/or injury to the patient. The substance is maintained in a solution or dispersion at the pH at which it is stable until the time of administration. At this time the substance is administered through a chamber containing an ion exchange resin which changes the pH of the solution or dispersion to a value which will not cause discomfort and/or injury to the patient.

Abstract:
Generally stated, the present invention provides a distinctive absorbent article comprising a backsheet layer, and a topsheet layer which is disposed in facing relation with the backsheet layer. An absorbent body is interposed between the backsheet layer and topsheet layer. The absorbent body includes a retention portion which comprises a matrix of substantially hydrophilic fibers having a distribution of high-absorbency particulate material therein. The hydrophilic fibers and high-absorbency particles can be provided in a fiber-to-particle weight ratio within the range of about 70:30 to about 30:70. A surge management layer, comprising bicomponent fibers having a denier of not more than about 3 d, is located adjacent at least one major, facing surface of the topsheet layer, and can cooperate with the article components to provide for a liquid Penetration Rate index of not less than about 2.67 ml/sec.
