摘要: According to one embodiment, a medical image processing apparatus includes first specifier, second specifier, determiner and display controller. First specifier collates an ischemic region calculated from a blood vessel visualized into a three-dimensional image in a plurality of phases with a dominating region of the blood vessel, and specifies a culprit vessel in the ischemic region. Second specifier specifies a culprit stenosis in the culprit vessel based on a pressure index calculated from the blood vessel. Determiner determines a connection position to connect a bypass vessel that makes a detour around the culprit stenosis. Display controller displays the determined connection position on a display.

摘要: Systems and methods for monitoring patients with a chronic disease such as heart failure are disclosed. The system may include a physiological sensor circuit to sense physiological signals and generate signal metrics from the physiological signals. The system may include a health status analyzer circuit to use the signal metrics to generate one or more stability indicators of patient health status, such as stability of heart failure status. The system may additionally generate one or more health status indicators indicating patient health status such as heart failure progression. A patient disposition decision may be generated using the health status indicators and the stability indicators to provide an indication of readiness for patient discharge from or a risk of admission to a hospital.

摘要: Systems are provided for generating data representing electromagnetic states of a heart for medical, scientific, research, and/or engineering purposes. The systems generate the data based on source configurations such as dimensions of, and scar or fibrosis or pro-arrhythmic substrate location within, a heart and a computational model of the electromagnetic output of the heart. The systems may dynamically generate the source configurations to provide representative source configurations that may be found in a population. For each source configuration of the electromagnetic source, the systems run a simulation of the functioning of the heart to generate modeled electromagnetic output (e.g., an electromagnetic mesh for each simulation step with a voltage at each point of the electromagnetic mesh) for that source configuration. The systems may generate a cardiogram for each source configuration from the modeled electromagnetic output of that source configuration for use in predicting the source location of an arrhythmia.

摘要: A graphical representation may be displayed including at least a plurality of transducer graphical elements, each transducer graphical element of the plurality of transducer graphical elements representative of a respective transducer of a plurality of transducers of a transducer-based device. A set of user input may be received including an instruction set to reposition a first transducer graphical element in a state in which the first transducer graphical element is located at a first location in the graphical representation and a second transducer graphical element is located at a second location in the graphical representation, the second location closer to a predetermined location in the graphical representation than the first location. In response to conclusion of receipt of the set of user input, the first transducer graphical element may be repositioned from the first location in the graphical representation to the predetermined location in the graphical representation.

摘要: Techniques for determining pulse transit time (PTT) and blood pressure measurements based on stethoscope data are provided. In one example, a system comprises a stethoscope component that monitors a heart and generates stethoscope data representative of a sound wave generated by the heart. The system can further comprise an analysis component that receives the stethoscope data and receives, from a photoplethysmography (PPG) component that monitors an extremity, PPG data representative of a pulse wave at the extremity. The analysis component can determine, based on the stethoscope data, a first time corresponding to closure of a tricuspid valve of the heart and can determine a PTT as a function of the first time and a second time corresponding to the pulse wave at the extremity that is determined based on the PPG data. Blood pressure measurements can be obtained from algorithms with the inputs of PTT or times determined based on the PPG data.

摘要: Embodiments provide a reliable, convenient, noninvasive, and cost-effective determination of structural and valvular abnormalities in the left ventricular outflow tract. Embodiments obtain a noninvasive optical pulse plethysmogram from the systolic and diastolic phases of the cardiac cycle for subsequent morphologic waveform analysis to determine left ventricular outflow tract anomalies. Left ventricular outflow tract abnormalities alter the rate of increase in flow during early systole and decrease in flow during late systole. These flow variances at the aortic valve are amplified as the pulse wave moves to the periphery due to a combination of the ventricular-aortic interaction, pulse augmentation, and reflections at branching vessels and changes in diameter. The invention addresses historical limitations in the noninvasive determination of structural and valvular abnormalities in the left ventricular outflow tract by using one or more of (1) improved optical measurement systems, (2) peripheral sampling locations that maximize signal differences, (3) volitional patient maneuvers to improve the diagnostic ability of the system, and (4) pulse enhancement techniques. The resulting test system can be used to determine the presence of abnormalities and to diagnose the type of abnormality. The ability to more efficiently and effectively diagnose aortic stenosis, the most common abnormality, in the primary care clinic will result in fewer patients experiencing complications such as heart failure, heart attack, and sudden death.
