摘要: According to the embodiments of the invention, methods and apparatuses are used for observing the movements of passengers on transport conveyors and presenting advertisements thereon. Steps on an escalator or other conveyer employ touch screens and/or detectors which determine the brand & style of a shoe placed on the step. An image-forming module projects advertisements and other media content onto a transparent glass surface that is viewable by the passengers. The media content is selectively displayed based on the brand and/or style of passengers' shoes. Passengers may interact with the media content via the touch screen by carrying out gestures with their feet. Passenger interest in certain ads is detectable and may be used for consumer research purposes.

摘要: A method is provided for removing an escalator truss from an escalator well-way having an upper landing and a lower landing, the escalator truss having a first end and a second end. The method includes placing a first forklift below the first end of the escalator truss under the upper landing, placing a second forklift at a second end of the escalator truss, lifting a lifting frame with the first forklift into contact with the first end of the escalator truss, connecting the first end of the escalator truss to the lifting frame, connecting the second forklift to the second end of the escalator truss with a lifting mechanism, raising both the first end and the second end of the escalator truss with the forklifts and moving both forklifts in a same direction to move the escalator truss away from the escalator well-way. A method of installing an escalator truss and lifting frame are also provided.

摘要: Power is recovered from an escalator or a moving walkway as the step orbits an endless track on rollers. A generator is connected to a roller orbiting the track. A battery backup is provided. The power is used for emergency lighting on the step, and for data transmission. Advertising and messages are displayed on a dynamic video screen mounted on the step. The apparatus is mostly contained within the escalator step. Information is communicated wirelessly to a remotely located central control station and back to the step, so as to display information in real time and to update advertising while the escalator is in operation. The central control station also monitors performance parameters. The visual display can include LED lighting.

摘要: A step band guard (30) for use of a passenger conveyor (20) includes a first panel (32) comprising a first piece of material. A second panel (34) comprises a second piece of material that is distinct and separate from the first piece of material. A securing connection (42) allows for selectively securing the panels together. The first panel (32) can be strategically left in place for blocking access to at least a portion of a step band (22) near a turnaround (28). The second panel (34) can be selectively put in place when blocking access to the entire step band (22) at the turnaround (28) is desired. The first panel (32) allows for some access to the step band and allows an individual to move the step band (22) without having to have the entire step band guard (30) in place.

摘要: The invention relates to a gantry device (10) for use in the assembly or maintenance of heavy parts or machine components or metal parts of a travelling device. The gantry device (10) comprises two lateral bipods (11), every bipod (11) having beam-type, elongate limbs (12) and a connecting element (13) and the limbs (12) being secured to said connecting element (13) with their top ends. The limbs have four extension elements (14), an extension element (14) being arranged on a lower end of every limb (12) or support (12) or beam (12). A cross member (15) extends between the two lateral bipods (11) and is secured to every end of the cross member (15) in the corresponding connecting element (13). The device (10) further comprises a trolley with a roller, which trolley is arranged on the cross member (15) in such a manner that it can be displaced along the cross member (15) in the area between the lateral bipods (11) or horizontally moved.

摘要: A device for lubricating escalators or moving walks has a lubricant container, a lubricant supply line, and a control device. The lubricant container is arranged in such manner that lubricant moves out of the lubricant container to at least one lubrication point under the influence of gravity. A lubricant valve is located in the lubricant supply line. The control device is coupled to the valve and operates the valve in a requirements-related manner, in reliance upon installation-specific parameters of the escalator or moving walk.
