Abstract: A system and method for recommending search bid phrases for monetization of short text documents. A dictionary source is used to look up topics related to a short text document. The topics are then reduced to a coherent set of topics and a candidate set of query terms related to the coherent set of topics is found. The candidate set of query terms is then ranked according to revenue metric and the query terms having the highest rank are recommended.
