摘要: In one embodiment, a system for neurologic vibratory sense evaluation includes a vibration article configured to attach to a body part of a patient under evaluation, the vibration article comprising a vibration element configured to vibrate against the body part, a control module configured to control an amplitude of vibrations generated by the vibration element, and a patient input device configured to enable a patient to start and stop an evaluation session, wherein starting the session in a first mode of operation causes the vibration element to initially vibrate at a relatively high amplitude that gradually decreases and wherein starting the session in a second mode of operation causes the vibration element to initially vibrate at a relatively low amplitude that gradually increases.

摘要: In one embodiment, a system for finger-to-thumb crease testing includes a patient interface configured to attach to a thumb of a patient, the patient interface including a touch sensor configured to sense contact between a finger of the patient and the touch sensor, the touch sensor being positioned on the patient interface in a location at which it overlies a distalmost thumb crease of the thumb when the patient interface is attached, and a control module in electrical communication with the patient interface, the control module being configured to count a number of times the patient successfully taps the touch sensor with the finger.

摘要: In one embodiment, a system for heel-to-shin testing includes a patient interface configured to be applied to a shin of a patient and extend from a point on the shin adjacent the knee to a point on the shin adjacent the ankle, the patient interface including an elongated medial touch sensor configured to sense contact of a heel of the patient to a centerline of the shin at any axial position between the knee and the ankle, and a control module in electrical communication with the patient interface, the control module being configured to identify a number of times the patient's heel deviates from the centerline of the shin as the patient slides the heel down the shin or drags the heel up the shin.
