Abstract: A method performed by a user equipment (UE) for signaling using satellite access in a 4th generation (4G) or 5th generation (5G) network is provided. The method includes receiving, by the UE, a signal from a first network apparatus associated with a satellite when a feeder link is available between the first network apparatus and the second network apparatus associated with a ground network, storing, by the UE, the signal received from the first network apparatus, and determining, by the UE, a third network apparatus associated with the satellite to transmit a response signaling to a user equipment (UE) upon receiving the signal using the first network apparatus based on an expected location of the UE.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Specifically, the disclosure provides a method for managing a context associated with a UE during a discontinuous coverage scenario in a telecommunication network by a network apparatus. The method includes detecting a 5G mobile management (5GMM) signalling congestion to perform a NAS level congestion control. The method includes receiving unavailability information due to discontinuous coverage, when the UE is allowed to initiate a 5GMM procedure. Further, the method includes avoiding to reject a request for mobility registration update from the UE to manage a context associated with the UE during a discontinuous coverage scenario, when the network apparatus receives the unavailability information due to discontinuous coverage from the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for managing a data session of a user equipment (UE) including multiple subscriber identity modules (SIMS) in a dual-connectivity wireless network. The method includes identifying, by the UE, initiation of a voice call over a first network on a first SIM of the multiple SIMs while at least one data session is ongoing on the first network associated with a second SIM of the multiple SIMS, the second SIM being connected with the first network and a second network included in the dual-connectivity wireless network. Further, the method includes shifting, by the UE, the at least one data session to the second network associated with the second SIM in response to identifying that the voice call over the first network on the first SIM is initiated, identifying, by the UE, whether the voice call over the first network initiated on the first SIM is ended, and shifting, by the UE, the at least one data session to the first network associated with the second SIM, in response to identifying that the voice call over the first network initiated on the first SIM is ended.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method for selecting a frequency combination for a User Equipment (UE), is disclosed. The method includes determining, by the UE, at least one of a bandwidth or multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layer information associated with each of a plurality of cells upon detecting the plurality of cells present in a network. The method includes identifying, by the UE, at least one combination of cells amongst the plurality of cells providing a maximum throughput based on the determined bandwidth and the MIMO layer information associated with each of the plurality of cells. The method further includes latching, by the UE, onto the combination of cells with the maximum throughput.
