Abstract: A method and an electronic device are provided for managing information of an application. The method includes displaying a first user interface of the application on a screen of the electronic device, where the first user interface displays a first level of information of at least one data item of the application; detecting a slide input performed on the first user interface; determining a second level of information of the at least one data item based on a context of the at least one data item displayed in the first user interface; and displaying a second user interface including the second level of information of the at least one data item on the screen of the electronic device.
