Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes an input interface configured to receive a user input related to a message, a communication interface configured to transmit the message to an external electronic device, a memory configured to store the message, a display configured to display the message, and a processor functionally connected to the input interface, the communication interface, the memory, and the display. When a first content of the message is input, the processor is configured to seal the message with a first object designated such that at least a portion of a second object corresponding to the first content is not exposed and transmit the sealed message through the communication interface.
