Abstract: A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel which displays an image; a light-emitting diode (LED) module which provides backlight to the display panel; an LED driving unit which applies a driving voltage to the LED module; and an LED driving control unit which senses the driving voltage from the LED module and stops an operation of the LED driving unit if the sensed driving voltage is lower than a first reference voltage or higher than a second reference voltage.
