Abstract: A notification (information) provision method and an apparatus for providing a user with the information received through a connection using a communication protocol available between two different electronic devices is provided. The method includes establishing a communication path with at least one other electronic device using a communication protocol, detecting, when a notification (information) is received, the current state of the electronic device, displaying, when the current state is a first mode, the notification (information), and transmitting, when the current state is a second mode, the notification (information) to the other electronic device through the communication path.
