    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein provide method for enforcing NSSRG in EPS by first network entity. The method includes receiving a PDN connection request with APN from UE. The method includes detecting whether any earlier PDN connection for UE is being handled by the first network entity or at least one second network entity. In an embodiment, when earlier PDN connection for the UE is handled by first network entity or the second network entity, the method includes applying NSSRG information for the PDN connection, selecting a S-NSSAI from a plurality of S-NSSAIs that is compatible to a S-NSSAI having same NSSRG information from the plurality of S-NSSAIs used to handle the earlier PDN connection by the network entity, and allocating the selected S-NSSAI to the UE to establish the PDN connection with the APN using allocated S-NSSAI.

The disclosure describes how the limits of “Number of Terminals” configured for an S-NSSAI may be accurately maintained in a Network Slice Admission Control Function (NSACF), and thus the enforcement may be performed when the limit is really exhausted. The disclosure also describes that a deregistration notification from a Unified Data Management (UDM) may act as a trigger for an old Mobility Management Function (AMF) to decrement counts in the NSACF as the old AMF is no longer serving the UE.

    Abstract: Methods and system for managing temporary slice deployment in 3GPP. Embodiments herein disclose systems and methods for managing temporary slice deployment in 3GPP. The operator or slice owner can commission the Network Functions (NFs) with validity criteria of temporary network slices. On expiry of the validity criteria, the NFs will decommission the temporary network slice. When the UE requests for these temporary network slices, the Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) provides the UE with the temporary network slices along with its validity criteria. Before expiry of the validity criteria, the UE releases an ongoing protocol data unit (PDU) session, and then removes the network slice on expiry of the validity criteria. The UE will only be able to access services from the temporary network slice if the UE is located in the temporary network slice's service area.
