    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, each pixel having a first sub-pixel electrode and a second sub-pixel electrode. A first thin film transistor is connected to the first sub-pixel electrode. A second thin film transistor is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode. A third thin film transistor is connected to the second sub-pixel electrode. A fourth thin film transistor is connected to a drain electrode of the third thin film transistor. A first gate line is connected to the first thin film transistor and the second thin film transistor. A data line is connected to the first thin film transistor and the second thin film transistor. A second gate line is connected to the third thin film transistor. A third gate line is connected to the fourth thin film transistor.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel including a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixels, a gate driver connected to the plurality of gate lines and configured to apply a gate-on voltage, a data driver connected to the plurality of data lines and configured to apply a data voltage, and a signal controller configured to receive an image signal and controlling the gate driver and the data driver, wherein the signal controller is configured to generate two correction data for each image signal referring to two compensation lookup tables, and the two compensation lookup tables are provided to make absolute values of pixel voltages for each polarity substantially identical to each other with respect to the same gray scale value.
