Abstract: Provided is an electronic device including a display panel. The display panel may include a substrate, a barrier layer disposed on the substrate, a light blocking layer disposed on the barrier layer and having a first opening defining the transmission region, at least one lower insulating layer disposed between the light blocking layer and the barrier layer, and having a second opening overlapping the first opening, a plurality of pixel circuits disposed on the light blocking layer, a plurality of light emitting elements electrically connected to the plurality of pixel circuits, respectively, and an encapsulation layer covering the plurality of light emitting elements, wherein the barrier layer includes a groove recessed from an upper surface of the barrier layer and overlapping the second opening.
