Abstract: A display device includes a substrate. The substrate has a trench portion recessed inward at a side, and includes a first display area, a second display area and a third display area, the second and third display areas being protruded from a first side of the first display area with the trench portion interposed therebetween, and a peripheral area around the display area. First gate lines, second gate lines, and third gate lines are respectively on the first display area, the second display area, and the third display area, and are respectively coupled to first pixels, second pixels, and third pixels. First, second, and third gate drivers are respectively to sequentially provide first gate signals, second gate signals, and third gate signals to the first gate lines, second gate lines, and third gate lines. The third gate driver is on the peripheral area between the first and second display areas.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a first display area; a second display area protruding in a first direction from the first display area; and a first non-display area adjacent to a side of the second display area. Each of the first display area and the second display area includes subpixels that display an image and scan lines electrically connected to the subpixels. The first non-display area includes dummy pixels; a common scan line electrically connected to the dummy pixels; load matching switch elements respectively disposed between the scan lines and the common scan line; and a load matching driving circuit that outputs load matching control signals to control turn-on and turn-off of the load matching switch elements.
