The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to, based on a touch area touched by the user on the display corresponding to a first area corresponding to the fingerprint sensor in the display, perform an authentication using the fingerprint sensor, based on the touch area not corresponding to the first area, control the sliding movement of the second housing so that the first area is located at a position where the authentication can be performed, and perform the authentication, based on the sliding movement of the second housing.
