Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for storing reports for use by tenants of a multi-tenant on-demand database service. These mechanisms and methods for storing reports for use by tenants of a multi-tenant on-demand database service may allow tenants of the multi-tenant on-demand database service to create, modify, etc. reports programmatically, as desired, and may allow the multi-tenant on-demand database service to make the reports accessible to other tenants of the multi-tenant on-demand database service.
Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for displaying data utilizing a selected source and visualization. These mechanisms and methods for displaying data utilizing a selected source and visualization can enable enhanced data display, improved data display development, increased time savings, etc.
Abstract:
Analytic snapshots aid reporting and dashboard infrastructure to be more scalable and responsive to users. By storing the results of a query generating aggregates, and refreshing these aggregates on a scheduled basis, refreshing the dashboard (using the current dashboard infrastructure) can be accelerated.
Abstract:
In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for managing data created in an on-demand service, utilizing a report. These mechanisms and methods for managing data created in an on-demand service can enable embodiments to derive data from reports in the form of analytic snapshots. The ability of embodiments to provide management may allow analytical snapshots to be generated and refreshed on a periodic basic such that historical data may be stored.
Abstract:
Various techniques and procedures related to filtering objects in a virtual application within a multi-tenant system are provided. One approach involves providing a first graphical user interface element enabling indication of a first filtering criterion and a second graphical user interface element enabling indication of a second filtering criterion within the virtual application being accessed over a network from a client device. After indication of the first filtering criterion and the second filtering criterion, a filtered set of objects is identified based on the first filtering criterion and the second filtering criterion. At least a portion of the filtered set of objects may then be presented within the virtual application on a client device.
