Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first network node obtains one or more first positioning measurements of one or more reference signals transmitted by one or more second network nodes during a positioning session between a user equipment (UE) and a location server, and obtains one or more second positioning measurements of one or more backscattered signals of the one or more reference signals during the positioning session, wherein the one or more backscattered signals are transmitted by one or more ambient radio frequency identification (RFID) devices.

The UE may obtain a second set of position estimates of the UE using a positioning technique that does not use the first positioning model. The UE may transmit a mismatch report, wherein the mismatch report is based on comparing the first set of position estimates with the second set of position estimates.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a position estimation entity (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) identifies a pool of UEs for a SL-assisted position estimation procedure of a set of target UEs. SL SRS-Ps are communicated (e.g., transmitted and measured) between the pool of UEs (e.g., for relative SL ranging). UL SRS-Ps are communicated by at least some of the UEs in the pool of UEs. The position estimation entity obtains measurement data for both the SL SRS-P and UL-SRS-P communications. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate for each UE in the set of UEs based on the measurement information.

The wireless device may calculate a positioning environment based on the simulated set of positioning measurements. The wireless device may calculate the positioning environment further based on a set of measured positioning signals obtained by the wireless device. The wireless device may output the positioning environment to train a positioning model. The wireless device may output the positioning environment by training the positioning model at the wireless device based on the positioning environment. The wireless device may output the positioning environment by transmitting the positioning environment to a training entity to train the positioning model.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may define the classes of a plurality of path delay detection algorithms that the UE may use to identify line-of-sight positioning signals and reject non-line-of-sight positioning signals. The UE may receive a capabilities request from a location server and transmit, to the location server, a capability report indicating the classes of the plurality of path delay detection algorithms supported by the UE. The UE receives a location information request from a location server, and selects a path delay detection algorithm, which is used to perform measurements of one or more positioning signals received by the UE. The UE provides an indication of the selected path delay detection algorithm along with the positioning measurements to the location server. The location server determines or verifies a location of the UE based on the path delay detection algorithm selected by the UE and the positioning measurements.
