Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods implemented on a multi-SIM-multi-active (MSMA) communication device for selectively enabling call forwarding. When the communication device is in an active data session on a first SIM, a processor in the communication device determines the data rate of a data session on a first SIM and detects whether the data rate exceeds a predefined first threshold. The processor enables call forwarding on the first SIM upon detecting that the data rate of the data session on the first SIM exceeds the predefined first threshold, to forward to a second SIM in the communication device one or more incoming calls made to the first SIM.
