Abstract: Systems and devices for providing a non-touchscreen enabled application through a touchscreen. One embodiment provides a touchscreen and an electronic processor communicably coupled to the touchscreen. The electronic processor configured to generate a touch interface comprising a representation of a non-touch interface provided by a non-touchscreen enabled application, provide the touch interface to the touchscreen, receive a command from the touchscreen corresponding to an interaction with the representation of the non-touch interface, translate the command into at least one event for updating a state of the non-touchscreen enabled application, and provide the at least one event to the non-touchscreen enabled application.

Abstract: A multiunit charging device and method for preemptive data upload is provided. A multiunit charging device controls a first mobile device, received at a plurality of charging stations of the multiunit charging device, to upload first data via a communication unit. After upload of the first data has begun, the multiunit charging device detects that a second mobile device is received at the plurality of charging stations. When an amount of second data for upload at the second mobile device is smaller than a remaining amount of the first data for upload at the first mobile device, the multiunit charging device: preempts uploading of the first data at the first mobile device; and controls the second mobile device to upload the second data via the communication unit.

Abstract: A converged device including a first subsystem and a second subsystem, configured to operate in multiple operation modes with varying levels of security. One example provides a method for operating the device. The method includes determining, during a startup sequence of the first subsystem and with a first processor of the first subsystem, a last operation mode for the first subsystem. The method includes determining, responsive to detecting that a SIM is installed in the converged device, a network type for the SIM. The method includes controlling, with the first processor, a first communication interface based on the network type and the last operation mode. The method includes determining, during a startup sequence of the second subsystem and with a second processor of the second subsystem, the last operation mode for the first subsystem and controlling, with the second processor, a second communication interface based on the last operation mode.
