Abstract: Various techniques and schemes pertaining to primary link identification schemes in wireless communications are described. An access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) establishes a plurality of links, the plurality of links comprising a primary link and a non-primary link that constitute a non-simultaneous-transmission-and-reception (NSTR) link pair. An AP affiliated with the AP transmits a beacon frame with an indication on whether or not the AP or a reported AP is affiliated with an NSTR AP MLD and is operating on the primary link of the NSTR link pair.

Abstract: Techniques pertaining to transmission protection with static puncturing in wireless communications are described. An apparatus (e.g., a station (STA)) receives a control frame with bandwidth signaling that is transmitted in a channel width of the control frame including one or more non-punctured non-primary subchannels within the channel width. The apparatus then determines the one or more non-punctured non-primary subchannels within the channel width of the control frame and also determines whether to transmit a response control frame responsive to receiving the control frame. Depending on a result of the determining, the apparatus either refrains from transmission of the response control frame or transmits the response control frame in at least one subchannel within the channel width of the control frame.

Abstract: Techniques pertaining to efficient and flexible frequency domain (FD) aggregated physical-layer protocol data unit (FD-A-PPDU) with the same and/or mixed WiFi generations transmission are described. An apparatus (e.g., a station (STA)) performs a wireless communication by: (i) transmitting a FD-A-PPDU or (ii) receiving the FD-A-PPDU. The wireless communication is performed in a 160 MHz, 240 MHz, 320 MHz, 480 MHz or 640 MHz bandwidth with 80 MHz being a minimum size of each of multiple PPDUs of the FD-A-PPDU. The FD-A-PPDU may be a 160 MHz, 240 MHz, 320 MHz, 480 MHz or 640 MHz FD-A-PPDU. The FD-A-PPDU may include PPDUs having a same PPDU format or different PPDU formats of different WiFi generations and utilizing a minimum size of 80 MHz non-overlapping frequency subblocks as a base building block.

The STA MLD determines a channel switching time when a reported AP switches from operating in a current channel of the reported AP to operating in a new channel on one other link of the multiple links based on the indication.
