Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal capable of data communication using wireless signals and a data communication method using the same. A mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a wireless communication unit configured to recognize an external electronic device using a wireless signal, a display unit formed to enable a touch input, and configured to display an image object indicating that the external electronic device has been recognized, and a controller configured to control the wireless communication unit to enable data communication with the external electronic device in response to a touch gesture on the image object.
