Abstract: The present application provides a method and an apparatus for checking a field replaceable unit, and a communication device. The method for checking the field replaceable unit includes: obtaining key identifier information saved in a security memory module; and determining trustworthiness of the field replaceable unit according to the key identifier information saved in the security memory module and key identifier information directly obtained from the field replaceable unit. The present application may implement trustworthiness checking of the field replaceable unit, the implementation is simple, and the cost is low.
