Abstract: The present invention discloses a rendezvous point convergence method and apparatus and relates to the field of communications, to solve a problem that an entire network cannot work normally for a long time because a network device cannot send a candidate RP advertisement message to a bootstrap router BSR when the network device served as a rendezvous point RP is entirely faulty. In the present invention, when a route of an original working RP is unreachable, a first node receives a bootstrap message sent by a BSR, where Holdtime of the original working RP carried in the bootstrap message is 0; and the first node disables the original working RP and enables a candidate RP as a new working RP according to the bootstrap message. The present invention is applicable to the field of communications to implement rendezvous point convergence.

Abstract translation: 本发明公开了一种会合点收敛方法及装置，涉及到通信领域，解决了由于网络设备不能向自举路由器BSR发送候选RP广播消息，整个网络长时间不能正常工作的问题 当作为会合点RP的网络设备是完全错误的。 在本发明中，当原始工作RP的路由不可达时，第一节点接收由BSR发送的引导消息，其中在自举消息中携带的原始工作RP的保持时间为0; 并且第一个节点禁用原始工作RP，并根据引导消息使候选RP成为新的工作RP。 本发明适用于实现会合点收敛的通信领域。

Abstract: The disclosure relates to an optical device for wavelength division multiplexing of two or more input beams. The disclosure proposes the optical device, and a corresponding method for operating the optical device.
