Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a power consumption control method and an apparatus, relate to the field of communications technologies, and are used to reduce power consumption of user equipment and ensure communication performance of the user equipment. The method is applied to user equipment that includes a baseband processor, and the method includes: obtaining, by the baseband processor, modem traffic information; sending, by the baseband processor, indication information to a base station when the modem traffic information meets a condition, where the indication information is used to instruct the base station to adjust a connected discontinuous reception (CDRX) cycle of the user equipment; receiving, by the baseband processor, first configuration information sent by the base station, where the first configuration information includes CDRX information of the user equipment; and configuring, by the baseband processor, the CDRX cycle of the user equipment by using the first configuration information.

Abstract: A terminal device comprising a transceiver, a memory, and a processor is provided. The terminal device may send in a network, an IMS registration request to a network device in the network, and may start an IMS timer corresponding to the network. If the terminal device does not receive a registration accept message from the network device when the IMS timer expires, the terminal device deactivates the network. The network may be one of a first network and a second network, the network device may be one of a first network device and a second network device, and each of the first network and the second network corresponds to an IMS timer with a different duration. In this way, different waiting durations may be provided for IMS registration processes in different networks, to improve user communication experience.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a terminal device. The terminal device includes a radio frequency transmit channel, a first SIM card interface, and a second SIM card interface. A method performed by the terminal device can include, when the terminal device needs to perform a first voice service, disconnecting the terminal device from the 5G network, and connecting the terminal device to a first LTE network by using the first SIM card. The method can also include performing the first voice service through the first LTE network, and receiving a first connection request from a second LTE network, where the first connection request is used to request the terminal device to perform a second voice service, and the second voice service is related to the second SIM card. Furthermore, the method can include responding to the first connection request by occupying the radio frequency transmit channel in a time division manner in a process of performing the first voice service.
