    Abstract: A configuration information management method includes obtaining first configuration information and second configuration information, verifying consistency between the first configuration information and the second configuration information to obtain a consistency verification result, and starting the server based on the consistency verification result. The first configuration information is stored in a BMC of the server. The second configuration information is a backup that is of the configuration information of the server and that is backed up at a first moment. In the method, both the BMC of the server and storage space that is accessible to the BMC store the configuration information of the server, so that the server can be normally started when the BMC or another component of the server is replaced.
