摘要： A ski brake having at least one pivotal blade capable of being embedded into the snow and wherein the blade is urged to an inactive position by an elastic member of low tension. An elastic return member of a step-on pedal exerts a positive action on the blade only during raising of pedal to cause the blade to travel to its active position, while freeing the blade during the descent of the pedal in order to permit the low tension elastic member to return the blade to inactive position.

One end of this connecting element is secured to the ski by means of the mobile element. 摘要： The invention relates to a method and a device for providing resilient recoil in a binding in response to the stresses arising during skiing. The device comprises at least two springs arranged in series in a housing on baseplate on which a binding is mounted. A rod runs along the axis of the springs, and a head of the rod takes the thrust from the binding; one spring bears against the baseplate and a stop separates the two springs. This system acts to absorb stresses not intended to affect the release mechanism.

摘要： A safety fixing device for skis permitting automatic re-centering of the ski boot on the longitudinal axis of the ski when fixing said device on the skier's feet while standing up, said device comprising a member adapted to retain one of the extremities of said boot and including a first ramp associated with said boot and a second ramp located on a catch member fixed on said ski, said catch having a portion which is movable between two positions, a first position in which the moving portion of said catch is raised with respect to the ski and a second position in which the moving portion of said catch is locked with respect to said ski, the transition from said first to said second position by the action of pressure of the boot being effected against the force of an elastic member by compressing this latter, the profile of the two ramps in a plane parallel to the ski and to the sole of the boot having substantially the forms of a concave and a convex curve opening out towards the same extremity of the ski, the ramp associated with said boot comprising at least one projecting portion and two sliding surfaces, one said surface being substantially parallel to the boot and directed downwards, the other being inclined with respect to said boot and directed upwards, the ramp located on the moving portion of said catch comprising at least one projecting portion, the ramps associated with the boot and the moving portion of said catch co-operating in such manner that the pivotal movement of the catch causes at least one of the projecting portions of the ramp of said catch to slide over the downwardly-directed sliding surface, while the projecting portion of the ramp associated with said boot slides over the ramp located on the moving portion of said catch.

摘要： An articulated casing for ski boots comprises a plurality of rigid sections articulatedly interconnected for vertical swinging movement relative to each other about horizontal axes. In a preferred form, four such elements are provided, one comprising a sole or base, another comprising an upper which is pivotally mounted to the front of the base, and which may be in two parts that swing about axes parallel to the length of the base, and a third and fourth forming the front and rear of a boot top, at least one of which is pivoted to the rear of the base, the other being pivoted also to the rear of the base or to the rear of the upper. The various elements can be latched together in closed relationship, in which case they fold down upon each other to internest. Means are provided for securing the articulated parts in extended or use position; and the same means may hold the parts in the folded nested position. A waterproof sock can be provided within the casing.

The axis of the spade is inclined downwards towards the longitudinal axis of the ski and towards the front or rear of the ski so that the spade can move between its active and inactive positions by a rotation of less than 180.degree., enabling association of the brake with known step-in devices.
