    Abstract: A head-mounted device may include a main housing portion and displays in the main housing portion that provide images to eye boxes. A light seal may be coupled to the main housing portion and may at least partially surround the eye boxes. The head-mounted device may include sweat mitigation structures such as moisture-guiding channels in the light seal to guide sweat and other moisture away from the eye boxes. The moisture-guiding channels may be formed from grooves or moisture-wicking fabric. Control circuitry may adjust a fan based on humidity, temperature, or fog detected by a sensor. The light seal may include a directional pattern of grooves through which moisture is guided away from the eye boxes. A moisture barrier layer may be interposed between an inner foam layer and an outer light-blocking fabric to prevent sweat from penetrating into the foam.

    Abstract: A head-mountable device can include a display frame, an optical component disposed within the display frame, a facial interface, and a rigid bumper connected to the display frame. The rigid bumper can be positioned between the display frame and the facial interface and can further define a gap between the optical component and the facial interface. The facial interface can also include a cushion layer that can be rated for applied loads in a first force range. Furthermore, a stop can be connected to the head-mountable display, wherein the stop can be rated for applied loads within a second force range that is higher than the first force range. The facial interface can further include a front surface facing toward the head-mountable display and a rear surface that can contact a face. A set of structural posts can also be attached to the head-mountable display and positioned adjacent to a forehead region and a maxilla region of a face, wherein a portion of each structural post of the set of structural posts can be embedded in the facial interface.

Each optical assembly may have a support with first and second portions that move relative to each other. A motor in each optical assembly may move the second portion of that optical assembly relative to the first portion of that optical assembly. A lens in each optical assembly may be used to convey an image from a display in the optical assembly to an eye box for viewing by a user. The lens and display may be mounted to the second portion. Face bumpers may be mounted to the first portion. To adjust eye relief, the motor of each optical assembly may move the second portion relative to the first portion.

The head-mounted device may store a user-specific model for determining a distance between the optical assemblies and the user's face during operation of the head-mounted device. The user-specific model may be generated based on a measured or inferred geometry of the user's nose and/or face.     Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a display with pixel arrays that display content for a user. A head-mounted support structure in the device supports the pixel arrays on the head of the user. A left positioner may be used to position a left lens assembly that includes a left lens and a first pixel array. A right positioner may be used to position a right lens assembly that includes a right lens and a second pixel array. Control circuitry may adjust the positions of the left and right lens assemblies using interpupillary distance information. Sensing circuitry such as force sensing circuitry may be used to ensure that the lens assemblies do not apply excessive force on a nose. Force sensors may be included between the lens assemblies and the nose, such as in, on, or adjacent to a nasal flap, or may be coupled to the lens assemblies.
