Abstract:
A network topology service receives a request to validate a plurality of network connections of a network topology specified by an administrator or other network technician. The network topology service evaluates the network topology to determine the structure of the network topology, which is used to select an algorithm for organizing the network connections into one or more groups. The network topology service uses these groups to perform one or more non-destructive tests on network devices associated with the plurality of network connections in a manner that does not cause disruption to the network connections. The network topology service compiles the results of these one or more tests and provides these results to the administrator or other network technician.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and computer-readable media are described for connecting private networks that may otherwise be isolated. More particularly, the private networks may include private clouds that may be operated on a plurality of datacenters. A determination may be made as to whether network connections between the private clouds may be established and as to what compute resources of the private clouds may be exposed to the network connections. This determination may be used to generate virtual network paths that may be configured to route traffic between the private clouds.
Abstract:
A network testing device is provided in order to validate network topology information and test various other attributes of a network. The network testing device may, in response to a command, obtain connection information from a network indicated in the command. The connection information may be compared to network topology information corresponding to the network. The network topology information may indicate which interfaces of a network device should be to be connected to which interfaces of other network devices. The network testing device may then return, in response to the command, a result of the comparison. Furthermore, the network testing device may return result of other network test performed by the network testing device on the network device.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for testing a communication link are disclosed. In the method and apparatus, a routing loop is established between two devices connected by the communication link, and data is routed between the two devices over the communication link. One or more performance measures of the communication link are obtained based at least in part on the data routing. The one or more performance measures are then used to determine whether the communication link is defective.
Abstract:
Disclosed are various embodiments that provide an automated dispatching framework for global networks. Monitoring services in private networks monitor networking devices in the private networks. Events are reported by the monitoring services by storing the events in a queue in a global network. A network support management service retrieves the status updates from the queue. Support actions are implemented by the network support management service based at least in part on the status updates.
