    Abstract: For each device in a collaborative environment, qualities of system characteristics are determined. Based on the respective qualities of each device, a subset of devices is identified, including at least one device having a highest first quality and at least one device having a highest second quality, each corresponding to a different system characteristic. One or more devices from the subset of devices are then selected, based on the first quality and the second quality of each device of the subset of devices, to perform a function associated with the respective system characteristic.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for overlaying virtual objects in a virtual environment based on user interest and user interactions are disclosed. The methods analyze a live view of a surface viewed through camera or a transparent lens and determine if the policies of the surface allow overlaying of virtual objects. The method fetches a virtual object and calculates a score based on user interest, user gaze, and user engagement. Virtual objects that meet the policies of the surface and a scoring criterion are overlayed on the surface in the virtual environment and enhanced based on a plurality of enhancement factors. Virtual objects are also overlayed in frames of a live broadcast based on their scores. Virtual objects displayed on a conference call interface, which may be meeting tools or icons associated with other conferencing functionality, are enhanced, or removed from the user interface based on their utilization.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for simultaneously being present in multiple extended reality (XR) apps running on the same XR device are disclosed. The methods concurrently run multiple XR apps on the user's XR device and use an avatar to represent the user's presence in each app. The methods determine whether the user is actively present in a first app or a second app. When the user is not actively present in a first app, activity in the first app is monitored, the avatar is configured to provide auto-responses based on AI, ML, or preprogrammed responses for relevant queries to simulate the user's presence. Notifications and summary of the activities in the first app are provided to the user while they are actively present in the second app. Instead of rendering the first app, back-end simulations of the activities in the first app are processed and made available when rendering is resumed.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting dubbed speech in a media asset and receiving metadata corresponding to the media asset. The systems and methods may determine a plurality of scenes in the media asset based on the metadata, retrieve a portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene, and process the retrieved portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene to identify a speech characteristic of a character featured in the first scene. Further, the systems and methods may determine whether the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene matches the context of the first scene, and if the match fails, perform a function to adjust the portion of the dubbed speech so that the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene matches the context of the first scene.

    Abstract: The system and methods described herein provide content recommendations to user equipment timed to reduce interruption of content. A content recommendation application detects output of first content and determines viewing metrics for the first content. Using the determined viewing metrics, the content recommendation application determines whether output of a content recommendation should be blocked. In response to determining that the viewing metrics indicate output of the content recommendation should be blocked, the content recommendation application blocks the content recommendation. Upon receiving an input changing output of the first content to output of a second content, the content recommendation application unblocks and outputs the content recommendation.

    Abstract: Interactive video game content for a video game is streamed to a client device using a first streaming protocol configured for low-latency streaming. When an indication of non-interactive content to be inserted into the video game is detected, streaming of the interactive video game content to the client device is paused and the non-interactive content is streamed to the client device using a second streaming protocol configured for adaptive bitrate streaming. Upon receiving an indication that streaming of the non-interactive content to the client device has ended, streaming of the interactive content to the client device is resumed using the first streaming protocol.
