The hand-held controller includes a grip extending from a proximal end to a distal end and a first user-input key mounted at least in part on the grip. The first user-input key includes a casing depressible by one or more fingers of a user, and a switch coupled to the casing. The switch includes a sensor configured to detect and distinguish between a range of pressures applied to the casing.
