A multi-domain horizontally aligned liquid crystal layer (4) including a the polymerable liquid crystal mixture is provided on the array substrate (1), and liquid crystal molecules of the multi-domain horizontally aligned liquid crystal layer are horizontally aligned in multi domains on a plane of the array substrate (1) according to domain directions of electrodes on the array substrate (1). Since the multi-domain alignment is achieved by a single alignment process, the process is simple and the display quality can be improved by using this mix alignment technique.
