An exemplary method includes a media player user interface system 1) displaying a GUI on a display screen associated with a computing device, the GUI including a user-scrollable media content menu that contains a display area associated with a media feed accessible by the computing device, 2) selecting menu display content for the display area based at least in part on a scroll status of the user-scrollable media content menu, 2) and populating the display area with the selected menu display content.
