The controller determines whether the communication device can communicate with the external device. When the communication device can communicate with the external device, the controller executes a running-state determination processing for determining whether an application program corresponding to a certain function to be executed by the function executing device is running on the external device. When the application program corresponding to the certain function is running, the controller controls the function executing device to execute the certain function. When the application program corresponding to the certain function is not running, the controller executes an activation command processing for transmitting an activation command for activating the application program corresponding to the certain function, to the external device.
