The database is accessible via a uniform resource locator string. One of a plurality of database connectivity drivers that enables a connection with the database is determined based on the connection properties of the database. The one of the plurality of database connectivity drivers is provided to the terminal via a network. The one of the plurality of database connectivity drivers comprises the uniform resource locator string and is configured to establish the connection with the database via the network based on the uniform resource locator string to enable communication between the terminal and the database.
