The terminal comprises a first body comprising a top portion and a bottom portion, the top of the first body comprising a user interface for allowing a user to interact with the mobile terminal to input data; a second body comprising a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion of the second body comprising a display panel; and a slide mechanism disposed in a cavity, formed between the first body's top portion and the second body's bottom portion, for coupling the first and second bodies and for allowing the second body to slide relative to the first body in both longitudinal and latitudinal directions.
