Disclosed herein are fluoroethyl pyrazole compounds of the formula: wherein X and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, nitro, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, and haloalkoxy. These compounds are useful as insecticides, nematocides, fungicides, and acaricides.
