In the second machine portion (B) the tail (TB) is transferred independently without a draw connection to the web (W, TA) transferred in the first machine portion (A), the travelling speed of the tail (TA) transferred in the second machine portion (B) is increased, and a draw connection is established between the tail and the web (W, TA) transferred in the first machine portion.
