The information recording material exhibits a remarkably increased sensitivity while maintaining a high S/N ratio. Where the information recording material further comprises at least one stabilizing layer of a metal oxide and/or at least one mixture layer of a metallic compound and a metal, further improvements can be attained with respect to S/N ratio, storage stability and archivability.
