A paperboard carton having a generally rectangular cross-section is made up of a plurality of interconnected panels. One of the panels is provided with a window opening therein and situated from the edge of the panel at a distance less than the width of an adjacent panel. Each adjacent panel having an edge within a distance of less than the width of said adjacent panel from said window opening is made up of at least three thicknesses of paperboard extending the full length of the panel.
