A wraparound type carrier having inner and outer terminal closure panels with cooperative latching means in the form of an aperture in the inner panel through which projects a tab of the outer panel. The tab includes an enlarged head disposed between transversely adjacent articles and a reduced neck portion of a size exceeding the distance between a pair of shoulders defined by the aperture whereby disengagement of the latching means is precluded.
