The motion stabilization device includes a motion stabilizer handle configured to receive an adapter that holds a cosmetic applicator for a cosmetic application; and processing circuitry configured to detect a transition from a set up phase to an application phase of the cosmetic application process, and hold the cosmetic application in a set position when the transition is detected.
