Abstract:
Techniques for improved mobility support in wireless networks are provided. A first beacon from a first wireless AP is received, where the first beacon comprises a network identifier (NID) and a service set identifier (SSID). A client device associates to the first wireless AP. Based on the NID, a set of services supported by the first wireless AP are determined. A second beacon is received from a second wireless AP, where the second beacon comprises the first NID, and the client device associates to the second wireless AP based on determining, based on the NID, that the second wireless AP supports the set of services.
