Embodiments of the invention provide a transparent silicone sock compromising a self-supporting material that flexes, stretches and covers parts of the foot that usually get affected by common foot problems such as, by way of example and without limitation, skin irritation, blisters, skin stiffening, calluses, plantar forefoot pain at the forefoot, and metatarsalgia during fashionable, open or close toed, high heel shoe wear. Beneficially, a user can make any high heeled shoe, sandal, or boot that they already own or wish to purchase comfortable to wear for prolonged periods of time without foot pain or discomfort.
